Osaka Castle is an incredible place to explore. We especially enjoyed the exhibits on Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s life and the thorough explanation of the Summer War painting, which brought the history to life in vivid detail. Climbing to the top gave us a breathtaking view of the entire city, a striking mix of modern skyscrapers and historic grounds. Outside, the surrounding gardens were calm and beautifully kept, perfect for strolling and unwinding after the castle tour. It’s truly a must-visit in Osaka for anyone interested in history, culture, and stunning views.

We booked skip the line tickets through Headout and I am so glad we did. We walked straight to the front and traversed the stairs up to the top floor through the museum. We just came straight to the check point and enetered the castle. There was quiet long queues for regular ticekts and I would guess it looked like 30 min line.

Reserve the date and time of your visit on the Expo website which will generate a QR code. You can save or print the QR code for easy access when you visit the Expo.
Reserve access to the pavilions you want to visit and events in advance using the Expo website or the app. If you have multiple tickets, you can reserve together for your group so you all have the same slot. Use on-site reservation kiosks if you couldn’t book ahead.

East Gate-by metro
Take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Yumeshima Station (C09), which is directly connected to the East Gate of the Expo site
The location offers easy access from major stations, including Cosmosquare, Bentencho, Hommachi, Sakaisuji-Hommachi, Tanimachi 4-chome, and Morinomiya
West Gate-by shuttle bus
Direct shuttle buses will operate between Sakurajima Station and the Expo site, boarding at the Yumeshima Transportation Terminal 1 in front of the West Gate
